Weekend Wardrobe
Weekend getaway…means packing all my favourite fits, whether there’s space for them or not. Currently obsessed with my oversized stripe pants that remind everyone of Beetlejuice…Made by me last year for a menswear project I chose that fabric due to its reference of 1920’s designs. Thicker stripes were more common especially in interior designing, which was the inspiration of that project. No matter the weather or season you’ll always find me layering. I do this with the use of textures and cuts, sometimes with accessories too.
A lot of my tops are thrifted. The asymmetrical black top and my cardigan thats Chanel inspired are also thrifted from my trip to Zurich. If it’s not thrifted its…Aritzia. The Contour Tops from Aritzia have been a staple for years now. It’s all about details when it comes to basics, and my favourite style of basics are asymmetrical ones. They add a unique touch with a simple detail.
Keeping the fits as practical as I could, since we were out exploring the city all day everyday…I chose to enhance some outfits using accessories. Tights, scarfs, shoes or even ties are all comfortable ways to elevate an outfit. I’m working on styling hats more as they are also another easy way to incorporate into an outfit.
