Throughout the year of 2024, I had the wonderful privilege to visit Switzerland multiple times, experiencing it & all it’s seasonal changes. With a natural aesthetic, I found that each city had it’s own unique undertone, with differences in decorations, themes, and monuments, something always stood out. Some towns are older, while others were more modern, yet they would still carry out a resembling architecture creating a blend of the vintage and modern aesthetic.

Here are some key details of my trip as I toured quite a few cities and saw many beautiful sightings. Zurich has an Old Town area that is filled with shops, cafes and restaurants. Walking through on the curvy, narrow streets surrounded by unusually small buildings with antique signage, was a bit surreal. A lot of times I felt as though I have walked into a film set. Basel Old Town had a similar effect, in a sense that everything looked so vintage and the architecture was so dreamy it truly seemed like a fantasy. Another city visited was St.Gallen. I went specifically for the Abbey Library, one of the oldest libraries to date. The entire room is heavily covered in historical details and antique structures. The walls are filled with books, famous diaries, letters, and frames. I highly recommend visiting it if you are in town & a booklover like me.

Throughout all my visits the weather was delightful in every season. Keep in mind I enjoy colder months a lot but it never felt overbearing. Except that one hike I went on…I am not built for winter hikes…& yes, I might’ve fallen a few times but nonetheless the views were spectacular. One of the many things I loved about Switzerland is how it seamlessly blends a city life with natural landscapes. As someone who values both lifestyles it is a remarkable hybrid to live amongst. On top of that, each city has a deep rooted history, and is rich of cultural and languages influences. What more could you ask for?
