Amalfi Coast, Italy
What a dream..Italy is one of those places where you’d need to go back every year as if you’ve never been there before…the sights, the food, the beach, the fashion….everything truly exceeded expectations. My diet consisted of a lot of seafood and yes…gelato. I practically had gelato twice a day everyday….I’m not a foodie but after that trip my taste palette expanded and nothing taste the same ever since…Everywhere served pizza & pastas, it was rare to see other things on the menus but worry not because you will be satisfied with the food.
Amalfi had a beautiful coast as you can see in the first picture. Lots of tanning beds, a great beach spot to relax or swim. Positano, I thought was the most beautiful… It does not look real..every photo just looks so perfect. It had many little boutiques that I found to be very unique. Also a wider variety of restaurants that overlooked the coast, & each had its own lovely aesthetic.
Capri was another lovely day as the Jacquemus’ AW24 Show was happening the same day. Spent the morning on a boat tour which I highly recommend because it was a wonderful experience to see the island and swim around it. From the boat I was witnessing the show without even realizing it until the next day when I spotted it in the background of my photos…After the boat tour, I toured the island and spotted no other than Dua Lipa in line for some gelato. Aside from that the island is filled with many designer stores, restaurants and cafes with a spectacular view overlooking the entire island.
Napoli was cut short, as one day was enough for me to tour it and try out a famous pizzeria. A little restaurant in the middle of a dark alley, truly was the best pizza I have ever tried…
One thing to note with the coast is transportation. For example, from Napoli to Sorrento: train or cab. From Sorrento to the harbour: train, bus, walk. You’ll then need to take a faerie to where you’d like to go: Capri, Ischia, Amalfi, Positano, etc. You can book everything in advance to save time! I’m so so so grateful to have been invited to this trip, so luckily for me all I had to do was show up 🙂
Next up is Florence, Milano, Roma, Venice…However, I can not wait to be back to the coast, it truly is one of my favourite places to be in.
Thank you for making it to the end, I hope you enjoyed my little insights!
